Consulted to various Chicago based companies on the development of their websites. I designed and programmed Olson Communications' new company website and then served as their primary contact for all web related services; designing, implementing, and re-factoring web sites for their clients: North Star Foods, Quantum Foods, and Johnsonville. Also designed and developed First National Realty Group's website, implementing a property search front page and fully functioning back end interface.

Carthage College Undergraduate Research, Summer 2010

Worked under Dr. Mark Mahoney researching a project titled, "Software Evolution and the Moving Picture Metaphor". Our research centered around the idea of improving the granularity at which changes to large scale software projects are recorded. We sought to replace current forms of Version Control with passively mined data stored in a database with the intention of using it to create meaningful stories about how a given piece of software was created and evolved over time. We created a prototype program in Java called Ali in order to prove the topic's viability and submitted our research to numerous conferences including ICSE (International Conference on Software Engineering), CUR (Council on Undergraduate Research), and NFM (Nasa Formal Methods). The project has since been renamed StoryTeller, its progress can be followed here: www.storytellersoftware.com

Computer Science Tutor, Spring 2010 – Fall 2010

Privately tutored students in a variety of undergraduate courses from 100 level Introductory courses up to 300+ level Datastructures and Algorithms. Tutored primarily in C++ and Java, but was able to help students in Python even without formal training of my own. I was not the Teaching Assistant, but my students were referred to me by the professorial staff within the Carthage College Computer Science Department.
